The International Thespian Honor Society includes schools around the world who have pledged themselves to "act well their parts, therein all the honor lies."  It is an honor society dedicated to promoting excellence in high school theatre.  Students earn membership in ITS by earning ten or more points through service in their high school theatre, including work both onstage and backstage.  As students accrue additional points, they become eligible for honor, national honor or international honor status.  More than two million students have become Thespians since 1929.

SAXON STAGE THEATRE HONOR SOCIETY (THS) STUDENTS held a bake sale Mon. Jan. 18 at the Great Falls Safeway to benefit Heifer International (www.heifer.org) and their relief efforts in Haiti. Students volunteered from 10 am - 2 pm, offered free hot coffee, and sold home-made baked goods to local residents. They collected $1500  and were interviewed by reporters from the Connection newspapers group. Kudos to THS President, Kate DaRocha and Parent Liaison, Linda DaRocha, for their leadership on this outreach service project. Baked goods not purchased were donated to the Great Falls and Reston Northpoint local fire departments. Thank you to the LHS community for your generous support of this charitable endeavor.
